Events Reports Winter, 2007- Spring, 2008

December 6, 2007: NY Region Alumni Party

The party was held at Shinbashi(7 E 48th St, New York, NY 10017). 14 graduates got together, shared their memories at Osaka University, and exchanged their information.

May 10, 2008: Osaka University North American Alumni Reunion

The third annual reunion was held at Hotel Kabuki (1625 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94115). 19 Alumni gathered together and some of them flew from the East coast such as Washington D.C. In the meeting, the next President, Mr. Tomohiro Yuki and board members were elected for 2009 and the report on 2007 Alumni Activities as well. Following it, the guest speaker, Mr. Yuji Ide, CEO/President, Pixera Corporation, Director, Kagoshima University Silicon Valley Office gave a special lecture “ Japanese International Education and Entrepreneurship: Story of Kanae Nagasawa, California’s First Immigrant from Satsuma”. All participants mingled easily, chatted and developed a network.
