World Affairs Now from San Francisco (Spring 2005)

<<Back to Main eLearning Page

In 2005 Osaka University's San Francisco Center christened its new distance learning studio with a talk from Japanese Consul General Makoto Yamanaka. Since that successful inaugural session, the SF Center has continued to engage Japanese students by bringing in Bay Area experts from a variety of fields to talk about their experiences. Students have a rare opportunity to hear first-hand accounts about how to build venture companies, conduct collaborative research and broker deals between multi-national corporations. They are also able ask questions directly to guests about entrepreneurial working environments and cultural adjustments to living in another country.
