World Affairs Now from San Francisco (Spring 2006)

The SF Center's innagural D-Learning series proved so popular that a second semester of lectures was held in 2006. This time two new guests were added to the distinguished roster of presenters. Seiji Horibuchi is the founder of the Japanese entertainment import company Viz Media, which sparked a burgeoning new market of manga and anime in America. Junko Nagakawa is an influential force in Asian media as head of the Hokubei Mainichi newspaper and SF Radio. She is also a pillar of the Japanese-American community California, serving on the Japan Society's board.
