SF Center Hosts First eLearning Session

In 2005 Osaka University's San Francisco Center christened its new distance learning studio with a talk from Japanese Consul General Makoto Yamanaka. Part of the eLearning class "World Affairs Now," this innovative teaching tool drew an audience so large that students in Osaka overflowed into a second classroom to watch via closed-circuit TV.

Since that successful inaugural session, Osaka University has used its new multimedia studio to further engage Japanese students by bringing in Bay Area experts from a variety of fields to talk about their experiences.

Students have a chance not only to hear first-hand accounts about how to build venture companies and broker deals between multinational corporations, but also to ask questions about opportunities abroad and adjusting to working in a foreign country.

On this website you can find out more about our guest lecturers and view a slide show of the eLearning class in session.
