Tohoku University on "INNOVATIVE RESEARCH
AND PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE"

Joint forum organized by the oversea offices of Osaka University and Tohoku University were held at the Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco, on September 18, 2008. It was introduced that the historical and philosophical roots of science from which these innovations and breakthroughs were made possible by distinguished speakers: Prof. Kiyokazu Washida, President of Osaka University, Prof. Toshiya Ueki, Vice-President of Tohoku University, Prof. Tadahiro Ohmi, Tohoku University, Prof. Satoshi Kawata, Director of Photonic Advanced Research Center, Osaka University, Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro, Department of Adaptive Machine Systems, Osaka University, Prof. Terunobu Miyazaki, World Premier International Research Center of Tohoku University, Profs. Richard Dasher and Thomas A. Baer, Stanford University. |
