SF Center Hosts First eLearning Session

Since 2005, Osaka University San Francisco Center provides distance learning with a various talks from different speakers. In Fall, 2007, Osaka University successful D-Learning series broadcast from the San Francisco Center continues to expand its curriculum. The Fall 2007 series “Academic World Insights” will be held entirely in English and the American university environment. The speakers will discuss their work in advanced areas in both physical and social sciences, such as fabrication of nanomaterials, cutting-edge earthquake resistant building techniques and nutritional genetics research, as well as judicial reforms in Asia and Central/South America and critical discussions on bioethics. Students have a chance not only to listen to high-level academic lectures in English, but also to explore their curiosities toward their further majories.
