Osaka University has 10 undergraduate schools, 15 graduate schools, several libraries, two hospitals and 5 research institutes. In total, there are 22 research facilities and affiliated laboratories in operation at Osaka University today, ranging from the Research Institute for Microbial Diseases to the new Research Center for Materials Science at Extreme Conditions.

The three campuses in the cities of Suita, Toyonaka and Osaka occupy a total area of 1,429 million ㎡. There are about 4,500 teaching and administrative staff, 20,000 students and over 1,000 international students.
